Yishun School of Singapore visits Chitkara Internation School.
The students and faculty of Yishun School of Singapore and Education Department, Chandigarh Administration U.T visited Chitkara International School on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. After a warm welcome from the management and students, the foreign delegates and students were taken on an academic tour around the campus. They learnt more about Indian education system and use of technological equipments in educating young minds.
This Delegation had come to Chandigarh due to the initiative of the Education Department, Chandigarh Administration, U.T, who gave the school an opportunity to show case the flavor of Indian Education and Interaction with the students and faculty of Singapore.
The event was organised where students performed ‘Ganesh Vandana’ to familiarize them with Indian culture. During the event special attention was given on students’ interaction and exchanging information about their respective schools. Mr. Chanchal Singh, DEO was glad to witness the interactive sessions between the students and expressed his views that such program must be held frequently.Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Chairperson Chitkara International School, said that this meeting would be an important step in our efforts to improve the quality of technological education. The day concluded with appetizing lunch and with the hope that this experience would add in their treasured memories of India.
