Extracurricular Activities
Chitkara International School (CIS) is conscious that a child’s potential and creativity goes far beyond academics. For this reason, we have made the following a part of the programme in all the classes:

Art & Crafts – Children are given the opportunity to express themselves creatively in a variety of ways through Art - Work and Craft - Work. They serve as a reinforcement for what is being learned in the class, particularly in the Early Learning classes.

Music – Children learn many genres of music, in both English and Hindi Languages. Many of these are interconnected with topics being covered in the class. Children evolve as performers during many of the school functions and celebrations.

Dance – Children also evolve as performers and express themselves through Dance. Apart from helping the children establish a connection between auditory, visuals and movement, they learn to work together and in sync.

Sports, Games & Activities – Children are constantly bursting with energy. Sports, games and activities provide an outlet for this energy. Children also learn teamwork and how to follow rules in order to win and succeed.

Break-Free Days - Apart from the compulsory sports and activities like dance, music, etc. in the school time-table, we have Saturdays as the break free days, the days exclusively meant for individualized trainings in the field of sports and co-curricular activities and where there are various options students can choose to unwind. A child can specialize in various fields keeping in mind his area of interest and can make choices so as to hone his skills in a particular area for future growth.
